PHOTOPOINTS

We used a GPS unit to find the locations of photos taken in previous years for replication. Photo points allow us to continuously assess the riparian zone of Goose Creek.

Here we have the photos displaying photo point #2 from 2014 through 2022. We can see that in the first four years of ELP’s work here, there is a significant decrease of invasive species at this point, particularly Reed Canary Grass, and there is a cleared footpath that developed the following year. We additionally see the impact that occurs when missing just one year of restoration. In 2020, there was no riparian restoration in the area due to COVID-19. With this in mind, we see that in 2021, there is significant overgrowth in the riparian zones.
